Jackeline Borges, a 34-year-old community leader, has dedicated her life to improving conditions in the Parnaso neighborhood of Turgua, where she has lived her entire life. Her connection with TECHO in 2016, when the TECHO team came to her community to conduct a training session. That encounter sparked her desire to become actively involved in the organization’s projects.
Since then, Jackeline has worked side by side with the volunteers, learning skills that have allowed her to grow both personally and as part of the community. For her, TECHO greatest impact TECHO been teaching the neighbors to come together and work as a team to overcome the challenges they face every day.
“Thanks to TECHO, the community has learned to work together as a team to solve problems,” she says gratefully.
