The organization has become a founding partner of the campaign in Latin America and is making progress in innovating its housing projects.
TECHO has become a founding member and strategic partner of the ROOH ( Roof Over Our Heads) campaign, a global initiative that seeks to transform the lives of millions of people by providing resilient, low-carbon, and affordable housing and improving public infrastructure for urban residents, particularly those living and working in the informal sector.
This campaign is aligned with the UN Champions’ global initiatives, Race to Resilience and Race to Zero, and aims to achieve the Race to Resilience goal of building the resilience of 4 billion people worldwide who remain the most vulnerable to the devastating effects of climate change.
As part of ROOH, TECHO recently TECHO the “Resilient Housing” project, with funding from its partner, Bank of America. This project aims to design and implement pilot housing projects that are more resilient to climate change in more than five countries in Latin America.
With the support of strategic partners, such as TECHO , ROOH aims to make a lasting impact on vulnerable communities.
