El viernes 1 de noviembre TECHO EU se reunió con los embajadores del Reino Unido de los 33 países de América Latina y el Caribe en el hotel Hyatt Regency para presentar el trabajo realizado por TECHO en la región latinoamericana y el Caribe.
TECHO EU aprovechó la oportunidad para explicar el trabajo que los jóvenes voluntarios y comunidades locales desarrollan en 19 países latinoamericanos y su impacto positivo en la situación de vida de quienes habitan los asentamientos de la región. El evento también fue una celebración del crecimiento de la organización, que hace dos semanas inauguró su primera oficina en Europa.
Dentro de los objetivos fundamentales de este nuevo espacio que la organización ha basado en Londres se encuentra: el desarrollo de nuevos fondos para apoyar la sostenibilidad de los proyectos actuales latinoamericanos de TECHO y potenciar a la organización en su carácter global.

On Friday 1st November, TECHO EU met with the UK Ambassadors of all 33 Latin American and Caribbean nations in London’s Hyatt Regency hotel in order to present the work completed by TECHO across Latin America and the Caribbean region.
TECHO EU took the opportunity to explain the engagement that youth volunteers and local communities complete across 19 Latin American countries, which has enhanced living conditions across some of the region’s poorest slums. The event was also a celebration of the organisation’s development – which two weeks ago saw the opening of TECHO’s first European office.
This new space based in London has as its fundamental objectives; the raising of resources and funds to help sustain and develop TECHO’s current Latin American projects and also enhancing knowledge and positioning TECHO as a global NGO.
Following a very productive meeting last Friday, TECHO EU now hopes to continue to count on the support of and work alongside various Latin American and Caribbean governments in the UK to help the organisation achieve and further its objectives.
